Grove Shield for micro:bit v2.0
The micro:bit is a pocket-sized microcontroller designed for kids and beginners learning how to program, letting them easily bring ideas into DIY digital games, interactive projects and robotics. The Grove shield for micro:bit is a plug-and-play Grove extension board for the micro:bit, the shield acts as a bridge for micro:bit and Grove system, which provides connections for hundreds of different Grove modules including sensors, actuators, communication, displays and more that will broaden the micro:bit’s ability in creating more projects easily and quickly.
As an extension board, the Grove shield for micro:bit has 4 integrated Grove connectors on board and reserves extra 4 pin outs if users need more Grove connectors. Apart from that, they have also reserved some pinout that has special functions such as P0, P1, P2 that have touch function, so that you can build projects like a fruit piano. Or you can simply use crocodile clips to connect the pinout, just like what you can do on the micro:bit. Lastly the on-board micro-USB interface, can power micro:bit from the grove shield.
